Ayuda Trámites
In Madrid province, there are over forty SEPE offices, including twenty in the capital. Your home postcode decides the assigned office. Book online or call 91 926 79 70. The Madrid region handles jobseeker registration. Use the assistant on this page to find your nearest office.
How to book an appointment in Madrid in 4 steps
- Start the booking.
Open the SEPE electronic office to book an appointment, called cita previa on Spanish websites. For screenshots, see our general guide to booking an appointment. You can also call the automatic 24-hour line, 91 926 79 70.
Official SEPE Portal - Enter your postcode. Enter the 28xxx postcode for your home, not the postcode of the office you prefer.
- Check the offices. The system shows the offices assigned to your postcode. You can't choose another office because it is closer.
- Save the locator. Choose an available morning slot and keep the appointment locator.
Booking is always free. The 060 line gives general information, but it doesn't book appointments. Numbers starting with 800 or 807 have special charges and aren't SEPE numbers.
Which office you get: the 20 offices in Madrid city
SEPE doesn't publish which office serves each postcode. When you enter your home postcode, the system shows your assigned office; the assistant on this page shows the closest one to your area. The Provincial Directorate at C/ Víctor de la Serna 43 is the administrative office: choose it only if the system offers it.

Opening hours in Madrid
All 42 offices open Monday to Friday, mornings only; the hours in the tables are the published ones, not official SEPE data. Your appointment sets the exact time of your visit. Offices close on public and local holidays. See our guide to SEPE opening hours.
Jobseeker registration in the Madrid region
Jobseeker registration, called demanda de empleo on Spanish websites, plus renewals and changes, are handled by the Employment Offices of the Madrid region. They aren't handled by SEPE. You can book online on the official Madrid region employment office appointment page or call 012.
Your first registration as a jobseeker needs an in-person appointment. You can't do it by phone. Without an appointment, you'll only be seen if there is availability. You must register as a jobseeker before applying for SEPE benefits. See our guide to registering as unemployed in Spain.
Common problems and how to fix them
No appointments in my area
Check the postcode again and try at another time. If no appointments appear, read our guide on what to do when there are no SEPE appointments.
Office in another area
Check the postcode you entered. It may match an old address or contain a mistake. Correct it with your current address and search again.
I've moved in Madrid
Enter the postcode for your current home. If you also need to change your jobseeker registration, arrange this with the Madrid region Employment Offices.
Frequently asked questions
I live in Pozuelo, Las Rozas or Alcobendas. Which office will I get?
These municipalities don't have their own SEPE office. Enter your home postcode. The system will show the nearby office assigned to you.
Are any SEPE offices open in the afternoon in Madrid?
No. The published hours show service from Monday to Friday in the morning only. Your appointment decides the exact time.
Can I book in another district or municipality?
Not by your own choice. The system limits the options linked to your home postcode. You can't change office because another one is closer or has a shorter wait.
Where do I renew my jobseeker registration in Madrid?
Renewal is handled by the Madrid region Employment Offices. You can book online or call 012. You can also read our guide to renewing your jobseeker registration.
