SEPE offices in Barcelona

In Barcelona province, you will find 47 offices dedicated to SEPE unemployment benefits. These offices are spread across the region, but many are concentrated in the larger urban areas. For instance, Barcelona city itself hosts 11 offices. Other significant towns like Badalona, Granollers, and L'Hospitalet each have two offices. Smaller municipalities such as Barberà del Vallès, Berga, Cerdanyola del Vallès, and Cornellà de Llobregat each have one office.

SEPE, the State Public Employment Service, manages all aspects of unemployment benefits, known as prestaciones. To visit a SEPE office for any benefit-related matter, you must book an appointment first. This appointment is called a cita previa. Your job seeker registration, or demanda de empleo, is handled by the regional employment service, not SEPE. In Catalonia, this service is the Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC). You register and renew your demanda de empleo with the SOC. While SEPE requires you to have an active demanda de empleo to receive benefits, they do not manage this registration directly.
