The SEPE benefits office for you depends on the postcode of your home. Start a free appointment, enter that postcode, and the system will assign or suggest an office. SEPE doesn't publish a public postcode table. You must book an appointment for in-person service.
Benefits and jobseeker registration are different procedures
The SEPE oficina de prestaciones (benefits office) handles unemployment benefit and allowances. Before you apply, register as a jobseeker with the employment service in your autonomous community.
The demanda de empleo (jobseeker registration) is handled by the regional service, such as SOC, SAE, Lanbide or LABORA. Its office may differ from the SEPE benefits office. In Ceuta and Melilla, SEPE handles registration directly.
How to find your SEPE office
SEPE doesn't publish a public table matching postcodes to offices. The practical way is to start the cita previa (appointment booking) and enter your home's código postal (postcode).
The system will assign or suggest the right office. You can also check our office directory and the official SEPE office network. The directory doesn't replace appointment assignment.
- Check your address. Use the postcode of your current home.
- Start the appointment. Select benefits service and enter the postcode.
- Check the assignment. Write down the office, date and time shown by the system.

Documents for your benefits appointment
Take these documents to prove your identity during in-person service.
- DNI or NIE, to verify your identity.
- TIE, if you're a non-EU foreign national.
What to report if you move
If you receive a benefit and change address, tell your SEPE benefits office and the regional employment service in your new area. Your file moves to the new office.
Common problems and how to fix them
The appointment shows another office
Check that you entered the postcode of your current home. The assignment uses this detail, not the office where you renew your jobseeker registration.
No appointment is available
Check your details and start the application again. If you need help, check the SEPE phone numbers and opening hours.
Going without an appointment
In-person service at a benefits office needs an appointment. Booking is free.
Frequently asked questions
Does my home address decide my SEPE office?
Yes. For benefits, the system uses your home's postcode to assign or suggest the office.
Can I visit any SEPE office?
No. For in-person benefits service, use the office shown when you book. Don't go without an appointment.
Is the jobseeker office the same?
Not always. The regional employment service handles registration, while SEPE handles benefits.
What if I move while receiving unemployment benefit?
Tell SEPE and the regional employment service in your new area. Your file moves to the new office.
