If you are starting a job in Spain, you must receive essential information about your employment relationship before work begins, as a general rule. The SEPE says the new contract models are now in force.

Does this affect you?

This matters if you are about to start an employment relationship. The SEPE summary does not say which details or documents have changed in the new models.

To understand your contract type, read our guide to Spanish work contracts. You can also browse our guide to the paperwork for working in Spain.

What should you do now?

  1. Open and save the official SEPE notice.
  2. Read the contract guide before reviewing or signing a contract.
